Stone Monkey Auction 2010

The  "Tao of Bamboo" pot has been inspired by antique Chinese pots that I saw at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The colour change in the glaze round the pot depicts the rising and and setting of the sun showing different aspects of the Bamboo. The box is made from Malaysian Jelutong wood and finished with a silver Stone Monkey in the lid. Two leaves on each panel of the pot have been fused with 99.9% silver to give the the pot extra interest and value. The internal size of the pot is 19.5 x 15.5 x 6.5cm
